How to keep your bed linen white and bright

Clean, white, crisp bed linen brings comfort like nothing else! Our bed linen in white percale, sateen and linen gives a sensational feel and the stylish impression is unbeatable. But how do you keep that fresh feel?

Check out our tips and care advice that will help your sheets stay white, fresh, and timelessly beautiful.

WASH WHITE WITH WHITE
Always follow the care instructions on the wash label and only wash your white bed linen with other white laundry. It is also important that you always choose a detergent that is environmentally friendly.

DO NOT USE DETERGENT WITH OPTICAL BRIGHTENING AGENTS
Check the contents of your detergent. Some detergents contain optical brightening agents, a type of substance that is not easy for nature to break down.

USE DETERGENT WITHOUT BLEACH TO WASH BED LINEN THAT ARE DYED WHITE
Here's something you may not know. Some white bed linens are dyed white, in which case you should use detergents without bleach. If you use a detergent containing bleach for a product that is dyed white, then the white colour is bleached, and it turns yellow.

USE DETERGENT WITH NON-CHLORINE BLEACH TO WASH BED LINEN THAT ARE BLEACHED WHITE
If you have bed linen that are bleached white, you should use detergents with non-chlorine bleach. Be sure to choose an environmentally friendly alternative.
One tip is to avoid liquid detergents for your white laundry. They lack bleach, and in all honesty perform worse than the best powder detergents. All white bed linen from Mille Notti is bleached white. If you have chosen a design with coloured decoration or details, avoid detergents containing bleach.

CLOSE THE LID FIRMLY
Make sure that you store your laundry detergent properly. The jar or package you store the white-laundry detergent in must always be tightly closed. Otherwise, the bleach in the detergent can evaporate, which of course affects the result.

NATURAL METHODS
Transform your sheets with completely natural products and methods. With only bicarbonate vinegar, lemon, and eco-friendly detergent you can easily give new life to yellowing sheets.
Mix 1 dl of bicarbonate, 1 dl of lemon juice, 2 dl of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of eco-friendly, colourless washing-up liquid in a bowl, bathtub, or large saucepan. Pour in hot water and add the discoloured cotton sheets. Be aware that it will foam and bubble. Leave it for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight. Then wash in the machine as usual.

DRY YOUR LAUNDRY OUTDOORS IN THE SUN
In summer, this is the greatest thing you can do for your sheets. When it possible, line dry your bed linen outdoors in the sun. You get natural bleaching and lovely scented bed linen at the same time.

Note!
Our white bed linen Chiara, Satina Organic, Lino, Pousada and Benevola should be washed with white detergents with non-chlorine bleach.
However, the bed linen Nuvola, Singolo, Volare and Sobrio should be washed with white detergents without bleach as they are designed with coloured details.
