How to keep your bed linen white and bright

White sheets – timeless, elegant, and effortlessly fresh. Few things feel more inviting.

But keeping them truly white takes a little extra care. To maintain that clean, bright look – wash after wash – you need the right routines. Here are our best care tips, designed to preserve both the brilliance of your whites and the future of our planet.

    WASH WHITE WITH WHITE
To preserve the brightness of your white sheets, always wash them with other white laundry. Choose a fragrance-free, eco-certified detergent that’s gentle on both fabrics and nature.

    AVOID OPTICAL BRIGHTENERS
Optical brighteners only give the illusion of cleanliness – they mask rather than clean, and they don’t break down in nature. Use detergent without them to keep your sheets – and the environment – fresh for longer.

    CHOOSE THE RIGHT DETERGEN
All our white bed sheets and bed linens – such as Chiara, Satina Organic, Lino, Pousada and Isola – are bleached to a pure white. They should be washed with a detergent that contains bleach, as long as it’s eco-labelled.

Sheets with coloured details – like Nuvola, Singolo, and Allegro – should be washed using a detergent without bleach.

SEAL THE BOX  Always close your detergent packaging properly. It’s a small habit that makes a big difference – bleach evaporates quickly when exposed to air.

NATURAL REMEDIES Have your sheets lost their brightness? Try this gentle yet effective homemade soak:

    Mix: – 100 ml bicarbonate of soda – 100 ml lemon juice – 200 ml white vinegar – 2 tbsp fragrance-free washing-up liquid

Pour into hot water, submerge your sheets, and leave to soak for at least 30 minutes – or overnight for best results. Rinse and wash as usual. Your sheets will feel like new.

LET THE SUN DO THE WORK
If you can, dry your sheets outdoors in the sun. It offers a natural whitening effect – and leaves your bed linen with a fresh, clean scent straight from nature.
